Brent Card, PA

Brent has worked as a Physician Assistant since completing his education and training in 1998 at Trevecca Nazarene University (Nashville, TN). After PA School, Brent went on to provide Rural Family Practice Care for the under served in AuGres, MI until 2003. With an interest in returning to Sports Medicine/Orthopaedic Surgery, an opportunity in Illinois presented itself. He spent the next 11 years working as a PA in Orthopaedic Surgery specializing in Sports Medicine. In 2014, Brent returned to his home state of Michigan for an opportunity to work with Dr. Peter Theut at Orthopaedic Associates of Michigan. At OAM, he assists Dr. Theut in surgery and provides office evaluation and management. Prior to getting advanced training as a PA, he worked as a Certified Athletic Trainer. As an ATC, Brent cared for the medical needs of Division I athletes at the University of Louisville and Central Michigan University. He went on to Atlanta, GA where he created and managed an outreach Sports Medicine Program providing Athletic Training Services to area High Schools, Colleges and later to the 1996 Olympic Games held in Atlanta, GA. He currently resides in Rockford with his wife and three daughters.
